Toshisada Wakao 1933-

Toshisada Wakao was born in gifu prefecture.
In 1949, after graduating from Junior High School, began studying ceramics on his own.
In 1960, received the award at the New Crafts Exhibition.
In 1961, received the award at the Gifu Prefecture General Design Exhibition.
In 1970, became the Regular Members of the Japan Kogei Association.
In 1972, received the Mino Newcomer Award.
In 1986, received the Kobei Kato Award.
The work was collected at the London Albert Museum.
In 1989, the work was collected at the London Albert Museum.
In 1990, received the Gifu Shimbun Grand Award.
In 1995, recognized as the Tajimi City Intangible Cultural Property.
In 2003, recognized as the Gifu Prefecture Important Intangible Cultural Property.
In 2004, the work was collected at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
Focusing on solo exhibitions, he approaches the essence of momoyama shino and oribe with his lyrical style, and is highly acclaimed as a leader of the mino ceramics association. The works created by applying a feldspar based glaze to mogusa clay, firing it for a long time in a gas kiln with thick walls made of bricks with high heat storage and heat retention, and slowly cooling it, realize the conditions of momoyama shino in modern times.

若尾経 1967(昭和42)年生

若尾経は若尾利貞の長男として岐阜県多治見市に生まれました。
1993(平成5)年、日本大学芸術学部写真学科を卒業しました。
1995(平成7)年、多治見市陶磁器意匠研究所を修了しました。
1997(平成9)年、朝日陶芸展で秀作賞を受賞しました。
1998(平成10)年、国際陶磁器展美濃で銅賞を受賞しました。
2008(平成20)年、作品がオーストラリア・ハミルトン美術館に収蔵されました。
2010(平成22)年、パラミタ陶芸大賞展で大賞を受賞しました。
