2th Ikko Kiyose 1942-

2th Ikko Kiyose was born in ishikawa prefecture as the eldest son of 1th Ikko Kiyose.
Real name is Susumu.
After graduating from Ishikawa Prefectural Technical High School, got a job at an automobile dealership in osaka, but returned to his hometown in 1975.
In 1986, succeeded to the 2th Ikko Kiyose.
In 1995, became the Japanese Traditional Craftsman.
In 2004, received the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Chubu Bureau Director Award.
In 2005, received the Japan Lacquerware Commercial and Industrial Cooperative Association Director Award at the National Lacquerware Exhibition.
In 2006, received the Ishikawa Prefecture Governor Award.
In 2007, received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award.
In 2009, received the Merit Award from the Japan Traditional Craftsmen Association.
Received the Award for the Technology promoter, Traditional Industry Meritorious Person from the Ishikawa Prefectural Traditional Industries Council.
Received the Merit Award from the Kanazawa Lacquerware Commerce and Industry Cooperative Association.
Strives to create luxurious and stately works using kaga makie, a style that has been around since the edo period, and is also committed to training his successors.
