Keinen Imao
今尾景年
今尾景年 1845（弘化2）年～1924（大正13）年
今尾景年は京都に生まれました。
幼名を猪三郎、名を永勤、字を子裕、号を聊自楽・養素斎といいます。
青年期まで家業であった友禅染の下絵描きに従事しました。
1855（安政2）年、浮世絵師・梅川東居に師事しました。
1858（安政5）年、鈴木百年に師事しました。
1880（明治13）年、京都府画学校に出仕しました。
1888（明治21）年、京都府画学校嘱託教授に就任しました。
1895（明治28）年、国内勧業博覧会で二等賞を受賞しました。
京都後素協会委員長に就任しました。
1900（明治33）年、パリ万国博覧会で銀稗を受賞しました。
1904（明治37）年、帝室技芸員となりました。
1907（明治40）年、文展審査員に就任しました。
1919（大正8）年、帝国美術院会員となりました。
明治以降の日本画に近代感覚を取り入れ、京都画壇に新しい息吹を吹き込みました。
花鳥画に優れた才能を発揮して国内外の博覧会で多数受賞する等の高い評価を得ました。
四条派の伝統を受け継いだ京都画壇の重鎮で後進の育成にも尽力しました。
