般若勘渓
般若家
1611（慶長16）年に加賀藩2代藩主・前田利長が高岡入封の際、
般若郷西ノ保（現：富山県高岡市）より鋳師7名を招いたのが高岡鋳物の創始です。
般若郷には鋳物発祥の地・河内国丹南郡（現：大阪府）より、
移り住んだ十数軒の鋳師がいたと伝えられます。
般若家はその末裔にして祖先から受け継いだ技術を一層研磨して高い評価を受けています。
般若勘渓 1933（昭和8）年生
般若勘渓は富山県高岡市に生まれました。
号を勘渓といいます。
1972（昭和47）年、日本工芸会正会員となりました。
1973（昭和48）年、伝統工芸日本金工新作展で日本工芸会賞を受賞しました。
1982（昭和57）年、伝統工芸日本金工新作展で奨励賞を受賞しました。
1985（昭和60）年、伝統工芸日本金工新作展で朝日新聞社賞を受賞しました。
高度な轆轤技術を駆使して銅と錫の合金を用いて鋳造する砂張を得意とします。
古作釜の研究を続けて数多くの写しを制作し、
宮内庁からの依頼を受けて正倉院宝物の複製も制作しました。
