Sold Out

Kanjiro Kawai named the kiln that he received from 5th Rokubei Kiyomizu when he was 30 years old in 1920 as "Shokei Kiln" and created a work that imitated chinese and korean ancient ceramics. Seiichi Okuda of the ceramic scholar praised "shokei kiln suddenly appeared in the ceramic art world" and is recommended by critics and collectors as "a person like a national treasure". Kanjiro loved "Copper Red Glaze" for a lifetime and made it enthusiastically. Copper red glaze is one of the glazes that is difficult to color, and it is extremely difficult to obtain the ideal bright red color. The carbonized inside also creates a dynamic atmosphere.
